Inspired by biomimicry, this side table is adorned with faux fur to bring a strong sense of texture that contrasts with the natural feel of the wood and evokes an ambiguous representation of animals. By fully covering the angular legs, crafted from white ash, with faux fur, Creature I embodies humor and satire within contemporary furniture design. Traditional stave-construction, or coopering, was used to create the hollow eight-sided tables, enhancing their unique aesthetic and structural integrity.
